Why silk?

Is satin silk?

no, they are totally different!

Technically, satin is a weave rather than a natural fiber like silk, the satin we usually called, from polyester, is a manmade fabric created from oils and has the identical chemical composition as plastic bottles, it’s much cheaper. Therefore it may look soft and easy, but it won’t be as smooth to touch, it can’t take in water (can be uncomfortable when next to the pores and skin in summer), it doesn’t have hypoallergenic properties either, it may also irritate the skin. If you’re thinking about buying satin, look into what it is made from to ensure that you don’t have complications for the materials.
